Prabowo: Our Government is Effective and Performing Duties Well
Jakarta, VIVA – President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto gathered all ministers of the Merah Putih Cabinet, along with Echelon I officials from ministries and agencies, at the Presidential Palace in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, 8 April 2026.
During the occasion, Prabowo provided directives to the ministers, Echelon I officials, and directors of state-owned enterprises regarding the progress of the government he leads after more than one year.
“I deliberately gathered the ministers, heads of agencies, officials from the executive branch, including all Echelon I from all ministries and agencies, as well as the directors of state-owned enterprises,” explained Prabowo.
“The purpose is to deliver directives; it can be said that this is stage one year plus of us carrying out our mandate as the people’s mandataries since October 2024. We were inaugurated in October 2024, one year in October 2025, and now in April, it can be said we are at one year and six months of implementing our duties,” he continued.
Prabowo stated that during the one and a half years he has led the country, he has successfully achieved several milestones of accomplishment amid turbulent global conditions.
Inevitably, Prabowo also highlighted the crisis occurring in the Middle East, the escalation of war between Israel-United States and Iran.
“In our first year, it cannot be denied that we have achieved real milestones of accomplishment. Amid these real accomplishments, we face a world full of uncertainty, full of conflicts and wars everywhere that have caused shocks to global stability,” he emphasised.
The General Chairman of the Gerindra Party also praised his subordinates for working hard in controlling several crises that have occurred.
“Alhamdulillah, we have been able to control the direction of development, the direction of our nation’s statehood. We have navigated through dangerous things. But in this one and a half years, alhamdulillah, we have proven that our government is effective, our government is reliable, and our government can carry out state duties correctly and well,” he said.
He even claimed that the accomplishments achieved by the bureaucracy he leads can be measured mathematically and physically in the field.
“These things are marked by real accomplishments, accomplishments that can be measured mathematically and physically in the field,” he stressed.
