Prabowo Orders TNI to Deploy Vessels to Assist Mudik Operations for Eid 2026

President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the TNI Navy and Army to mobilise vessels during the 2026 Eid mudik season.

He made the announcement during a Red-and-White Cabinet meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday (13 March).

“I also request the TNI Commander and National Police Chief to mobilise assets and facilities belonging to the TNI and National Police to assist the smooth operation of mudik. It is possible the Navy and Army possess vessels that could be made available and coordinated with the Transport Minister,” Prabowo said.

Additionally, he instructed the National Police to deploy their assets and facilities to support mudik operations.

Simultaneously, Prabowo requested the Transport Ministry ensure price discount policies are implemented optimally.

“Next, I request quality of service at rest areas, ports, airports, and all stations be improved. Ensure there are no uncontrolled queues,” he stated.

He also instructed the Social Affairs Ministry to ensure additional food aid for 35 million beneficiary families in income deciles 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Regular social assistance must also be distributed on time.

“Labour Minister, Finance Minister, and Investment Minister, ensure holiday allowances for all civil servants, central and regional, are implemented on time,” he said.
