JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming as well as CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, at his residence in the Hambalang area, Bogor, West Java.

In the meeting, Rosan stated that he received directives from the Head of State regarding the acceleration of downstreaming and strengthening the Danantara programme.

The moment of the meeting between Prabowo and Rosan was also posted by Rosan on his Instagram account @rosanroeslani on Friday (24/4/2026).

“Thank you, Mr President @prabowo, for the directives on accelerating downstreaming and strengthening Danantara’s priority programmes, today in Hambalang,” said Rosan in his post.

Rosan also hopes that investment in the country can become increasingly open and increase.

“Investment in Indonesia, insyaallah, will add more value, open up more job opportunities, and drive the national industry to become increasingly competitive,” he said.

According to him, the Head of State hopes that investments entering Indonesia must be able to create jobs domestically.

“The message from him is, of course, regarding what I mentioned earlier, the creation of jobs must also grow well, correctly, and of quality. That is the directive from Mr President,” said Rosan after the meeting with President Prabowo at the Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

Rosan emphasised that this is very important and must be accelerated immediately.

Prabowo also requested that no regulations hinder investment.

“Don’t let our regulations actually hinder. Our rules that actually hinder. Those approvals must also, said Mr President, if they hinder, they don’t need to exist,” he said.

In addition, Prabowo is said to have asked Rosan to continue improving the existing investment climate in Indonesia.

“We see the benchmarking with ASEAN countries, with OECD regulations and others. That is the direction from Mr President,” he added.

Rosan said that the investment realisation in the first quarter exceeded the set target.

“The investment realisation in 2026, in the first quarter I reported that alhamdulillah it achieved Rp498.79 trillion or 100.36 percent of the Rp497 trillion target, and that is a 7.22 percent year-on-year increase,” revealed Rosan.
