Jakarta, Kompas.com — President Prabowo Subianto has demanded that queues at rest areas, airports, train stations, and ports remain manageable during the 2026 Eid holiday travel period.

He has also reminded his officials to improve service quality ahead of the Eid exodus in 2026.

“I request that service quality at rest areas, ports, airports and all train stations be enhanced. Ensure there are no uncontrolled queues,” Prabowo stated firmly during a Cabinet Session at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday, 14 March 2026.

“Including discounts on aeroplane tickets, train services, ship fares and toll road charges, and ensuring good service at every location,” he continued.

The Head of State has also tasked TNI Commander-in-Chief General Agus Subiyanto and Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo with mobilising the resources available to the military and police to facilitate smooth holiday travel this year.

According to him, the Naval and Army commands possess vessels that could potentially be made available for the holiday exodus.

“Coordinated with the Transport Minister and I believe the police also have assets and facilities to assist,” added Prabowo.

Additionally, the Head of State has reminded officials about the need to ensure stable fuel availability, electricity supply, and internet connectivity.

“This is the second Eid of our administration; the Coordinating Minister for Food, Trade Minister, and Agriculture Minister must ensure stable and safe food supply and maintain prices,” he stressed.
