Prabowo: Only in Indonesia Do Police Handle Agriculture and Soldiers Frequent Rice Fields

President Prabowo Subianto stated that only in Indonesia do the police manage agriculture, and only in Indonesia are soldiers frequently found in the rice fields.

He further noted that the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) and the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) are actively involved in planting soybeans and sugarcane. These remarks were made during his attendance at the XVII National Summit (PENAS) of Farmers and Fishermen in Gorontalo Regency on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.

“Only in Indonesia do the police manage agriculture. Only in… perhaps in Indonesia, the soldiers are often in the rice fields. Only in Indonesia does the navy plant soybeans. Only in Indonesia does the air force plant sugarcane,” Prabowo said in his address.

Nevertheless, Prabowo explained that the involvement of the TNI and Polri is highly strategic. He expressed his conviction that Indonesia will rise to become a great nation.

“But this is strategic. This is why Indonesia will rise greatly, my brothers and sisters. We will rise to become a great nation,” he said.

On this occasion, Prabowo also expressed his appreciation and respect to the Coordinating Minister for Food Security Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Commander of the TNI General Agus Subiyanto, and the Chief of National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
