President Prabowo Subianto stated that water supply is not a problem for Indonesia. In fact, he said, Indonesia has an excess of water supply. This was conveyed by Prabowo during a briefing to ministry and agency officials at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4). “Alhamdulillah, our country actually does not experience water problems. The issue is that sometimes we even have an excess of water,” he said. Prabowo also mentioned that the rain falling in the Bogor area, West Java, in one day is equivalent to the amount of rain that falls in Western Australia over one year. Nevertheless, Prabowo acknowledged that there are still areas in Indonesia that lack water. However, he said that this problem can be handled. “Such is the blessing we receive from the Almighty. In some parts of our country, especially eastern Indonesia and certain islands, there are still water difficulties. But we can overcome them.”
