Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Prabowo Subianto said the policy of channelling exports through a single window operated by PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) was a step towards safeguarding the country’s wealth. He said the state was losing revenue through smuggling, transfer pricing and the reporting of export values below their actual prices (under-invoicing).

He made the remarks at a plenary cabinet meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (21 October 2026). Prabowo said he wanted the nation’s wealth to benefit Indonesians, but that at present it did not all remain in the country.

“Smuggling, transfer pricing and under-invoicing are still going on. We have to take action for our survival as a nation,” Prabowo said.

This was the rationale for introducing a single-window export system through DSI, which was announced at a plenary cabinet meeting at the MPR on 20 May 2026, coinciding with National Awakening Day. The proposal also received approval from all factions in the MPR.

“The step I reported to the MPR, which all factions vocally supported, is that we will implement a single-window export system through DSI, a state-owned company, PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia, which will monitor and channel our exports. We hope this will help prevent the leakages that have been occurring,” Prabowo said.

DSI is expected to strengthen oversight of export activity and reduce revenue leakages.

“What we are doing is for our safety. Food self-sufficiency, Danantara, single-window exports — we have achieved so much. So I ask that we no longer feel inferior. We are on the right track,” he said.
