President Prabowo Subianto officially handed over a number of main weapons systems (alutsista) to the TNI at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, on Monday (18/5/2026). The delivered equipment consists of 6 Dassault Rafale fighter jets, 1 Airbus A400M Atlas MRTT, 4 Dassault Falcon 8X aircraft, as well as GCI GM403 radar, Meteor missile systems, and Hammer smart weapons.

“We have just officially received, through our customs, the addition of alutsista for our Air Force. We received 6 Rafale fighter jets, Falcon transport aircraft, VIP transport, and the A400,” said Prabowo on Monday afternoon.

Prabowo noted that the handover of these weapons systems represents a milestone in strengthening Indonesia’s defence. He emphasised that these assets are vital as a deterrent to maintain Indonesia’s territorial sovereignty.

“We know that geopolitics is full of uncertainty, and we know that defence is a primary requirement for stability and our guarantee that we can remain sovereign,” Prabowo stated. “In the future, we will continue to build our strength. We will secure our airspace, sea, and land.”

During the event, Prabowo toured the aircraft accompanied by Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal M. Tonny Harjono, and several delegates from France. The event concluded with a photo session featuring President Prabowo alongside invited guests and members of the Red and White Cabinet.
