Prabowo Offers Condolences on Passing of Thai Princess

President Prabowo Subianto has conveyed his condolences to the Royal Family and the entire nation of Thailand on the passing of Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati. The expression of sympathy was made during a dinner banquet with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday (3/8). Prabowo expressed his grief on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and personally. He hoped the Royal Family and the people of Thailand would be granted strength during their period of mourning. ‘On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and personally, I wish to express my deepest condolences to the Royal Family and all the people of Thailand on the passing of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati. Our thoughts and prayers are with His Majesty and the entire people of Thailand during this time of sorrow,’ said Prabowo. In addition to offering condolences, Prabowo also conveyed birthday greetings to King Maha Vajiralongkorn. He prayed that the King of Thailand would always be granted health, happiness, and strength in leading his country. Prabowo revealed that his relationship with King Maha Vajiralongkorn has been established for a long time. Both, he said, share a background as soldiers, so every meeting is always coloured by memories of their youth. ‘I would also like to wish a happy birthday to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn. May His Majesty always be blessed with health, happiness, and strength in leading the Kingdom of Thailand,’ he stated. He added that this closeness makes every meeting with King Maha Vajiralongkorn feel warm. According to Prabowo, the two often reminisce about their experiences while serving as soldiers and share stories about the past.
