Prabowo: Next Year, We Will Surprise the World

President Prabowo Subianto is convinced that Indonesia will shock the world. According to Prabowo, Indonesia is no longer a country whose potential remains untapped, like a giant still asleep.

Prabowo stated that Indonesia is now beginning to awaken from its slumber. The Head of State conveyed this during the inauguration ceremony of the electric commercial vehicle assembly plant owned by PT VKTR Sakti Industries in Magelang, Central Java.

“Next year, we will create a surprise for the entire world. Indonesia is rising. This giant is waking up. We will no longer be the sleeping giant. We are rising,” said Prabowo on Thursday, quoted from the broadcast aired on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel.

Prabowo is optimistic that Indonesia possesses various strengths to rise, from natural resources and technological capabilities to government efforts to strengthen self-reliance in various sectors. For Prabowo, Indonesia has vast resources, enabling it to face various global challenges.

“We have great strength. We are truly serious. We will be independent, we will be strong, we will stand on our own feet,” stated Prabowo.

The former Minister of Defence stated that Indonesia has a bright future. He also alluded to the Indonesia Gelap action. Prabowo considers the group that promotes narratives of dissatisfaction with Indonesia’s condition as not objective in their assessment.

“Those who say (Indonesia) is not bright, who say Indonesia is dark, perhaps their eyes are not good, right? Their eyes and hearts. What do we want to do, if someone’s heart is not sincere, their eyes are blurry, well, Indonesia is dark,” said Prabowo.
