Prabowo: Nahdliyin Present in All Parties, Learn Politics from NU

President Prabowo Subianto highlighted that members of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) are present in every political party. He quipped that others should learn politics from NU.

This was conveyed by Prabowo while attending the closing ceremony of the National Conference of Alim Ulama and the Grand Conference of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) at the Syaichona Mohammad Cholil Islamic Institute, Bangkalan Regency, East Java, on Tuesday (23/6/2026).

Prabowo initially greeted the guests in attendance. He acknowledged the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection who is also Chairwoman of PP Muslimat NU, Arifatul Choiri.

“Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Nusron Wahid, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection who is also Chairwoman of PP Muslimat NU Arifatul. This Red and White Cabinet has many NU members, yes,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo praised the strength of NU’s cadre development, which has resulted in its members being present in various organisations and the government. He noted that NU members are also present in all political parties.

“NU is truly great. Always present everywhere, right. In all parties, NU is present,” he stated.

“So NU never loses. Great, great. If one wants to learn politics, it should be from NU,” he said, drawing laughter from the audience.
