Prabowo Moved by PKB's Firm Support for 'Prabowonomics'

President Prabowo Subianto admitted he was moved during the 28th anniversary celebration of the National Awakening Party (PKB). He was touched by the party’s consistent support for his administration. “I am moved by PKB’s firm support,” Prabowo said at the event held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (23/7/2026).

Prabowo observed the party cadres uniformly wearing white t-shirts emblazoned with the word ‘Prabowonomics’. He stressed that he continues to adhere to the Pancasila economic system as mandated by Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution. “I am also moved that you are wearing the Prabowonomics t-shirts. Honestly, it is not appropriate for you to put my name there. The firmness of my struggle, my belief, is the belief in the ideals of the nation’s founders, the belief in the Proclamation of 17 August 1945, the belief in the Constitution, the belief in Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, and Article 34. That is my belief,” he said.

Prabowo stated that there are no new ideas in the economic principle termed ‘Prabowonomics’. According to him, the principle simply adopts what has been mandated in the constitution. “My ideas are nothing new. My ideas are nothing extraordinary. My idea is simply to uphold our Constitution. Because I believe that Article 33 and Article 34 are the spirit of the struggle of our nation’s founders,” he said.

Earlier, PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, revealed the reason his party chose the theme ‘Prabowonomics’ for the 28th anniversary celebration. He said the theme was inspired by President Prabowo Subianto’s spirit in guiding the new direction of the national economy. “The theme for PKB’s 28th anniversary is the New Direction of the Constitutional Economic Mandate. And this theme is shortened to one word: ‘Prabowonomics’,” Cak Imin said in his speech at the JCC, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (23/7).

According to Cak Imin, the theme is a form of gratitude and PKB’s commitment to continue supporting the new direction of national economic development so that Indonesia becomes a self-reliant nation. Cak Imin then revealed that the choice of theme was inspired by Prabowo. “This theme is a form of gratitude and PKB’s seriousness in continuing to bring a new direction to the national economy to become a self-reliant and strong nation based on its own strength,” he said. “And all of us in PKB are inspired by the President’s spirit and seriousness in continuing to guide the new economic direction amidst challenges that are not easy, both geo-economic and geopolitical.”

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka was also present at the 28th PKB anniversary celebration that evening. Several political party chairpersons attended, including Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia, Democrat Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), PKS President Al Muzammil Yusuf, and PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas). Also seen were party elites, such as Gerindra Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, NasDem Treasurer Ahmad Sahroni, PAN Secretary General Eko Patrio, Golkar Treasurer Sari Yuliati, PDI Perjuangan Executive Djarot Saiful Hidayat, Democrat Secretary General Herman Khaeron, and PSI Deputy Chair Isyana Bagoes Oka.
