Prabowo Monitors Food Distribution Flow from SPPG in Palmerah
President Prabowo Subianto carried out a direct inspection of food cleanliness and safety at the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) kitchen managed by the Palmerah Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Jakarta on Tuesday. This step was taken to ensure that all operational processes, from production to distribution, adhere to strict health standards.
Arriving at approximately 09:30 WIB, the President was welcomed by the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana. During the visit, the President inspected the greenhouse area, which utilises hydroponic and biofloc methods as a self-sustaining food supply system. The Palmerah SPPG, which is under the guidance of the Indonesian National Police, recorded a harvest of 80 kilograms of mustard greens and 560 catfish last month to support the kitchen’s supply.
Upon entering the kitchen area, President Prabowo followed hygiene protocols by wearing a hair net and gloves. He closely monitored every stage, starting from raw material preparation and the cooking process to the packaging of food intended for beneficiaries. This inspection is part of an effort to ensure an integrated implementation chain for the nutrition fulfilment programme, aimed at improving the quality of Indonesia’s human resources.
The President’s Secretariat stated that through good governance and adequate supporting facilities, the government hopes this programme will provide optimal benefits. After inspecting the production kitchen, the President continued his agenda by visiting SMPN 111 Jakarta in Kemanggisan to observe the direct distribution of meals to students.
