Prabowo Meets Xi Jinping's Envoy at the Palace, Here's What Was Discussed

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto received China’s Minister of State Security Chen Yixin at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday (27/3/2026). The meeting discussed strengthening relations between the two countries.

The President was accompanied by the Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) General TNI (Ret.) Muhammad Herindra, Minister Secretary of State Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere, reflecting the good relations between the two countries. On that occasion, Chen expressed the People’s Republic of China’s hope to work together with friendly countries to build cooperation in maintaining and enhancing security stability in Asia and the world, as stated in the Cabinet Secretariat’s post on Friday (27/3/2026).

It was explained that the President reiterated Indonesia’s view on the importance of regional stability for Indonesia in supporting sustainable economic growth.

Furthermore, President Prabowo welcomed the hopes of China’s Minister of State Security to enhance cooperation for the benefit of both countries. In particular, cooperation between the Chinese government and BIN.
