Prabowo Meets with Purbaya and Rosan in Hambalang to Discuss Waste to Energy
President Prabowo Subianto held a meeting with several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (25/3/2026). This was confirmed by a post on the Instagram account of the Presidential Secretariat. As observed by CNBC Indonesia, attendees included the Head of the Nusantara Future Investment Management Agency, who is also the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Capital Investment Coordinating Board Rosan Roeslani; Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman; and Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. Also present were the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, who is also the Head of the Mineral Industry Agency Brian Yuliarto; State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi; Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya; and the President’s Personal Secretary Rizki Irmansyah. According to the caption on the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, Rosan reported on the progress of the Waste to Energy (WTE) programme, or the waste management to energy initiative, across Indonesia, particularly in major and densely populated cities such as Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan, Bali, and other cities in Indonesia. “President Prabowo wants the central government to immediately manage the waste that has long been poorly handled in the regions to be quickly cleaned up, eliminated, and utilised to become energy, especially electrical energy,” stated @sekretariat.kabinet.
