Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said that the business leaders had previously collaborated with Danantara Indonesia. According to Teddy, these investors include the 12 largest entrepreneurs in the U.S. “President Prabowo opened up as many investment opportunities as possible to build a profitable economic chain and job opportunities that benefit the domestic interests in Indonesia,” Teddy said in a written statement on Saturday, February 21, 2026. President Prabowo met with the CEOs of global investment companies in Washington, D.C. on Friday, February 20, 2026, local time. The discussion was initially scheduled for one hour but ended up lasting two. Prabowo also had one-on-one sessions with each investor after the forum discussion. During the meeting, Prabowo stated that Indonesia no longer wants to be known as “the sleeping giant.” Teddy mentioned that Prabowo said Indonesia is entering a new phase as a confident and stable nation that is ready to become a center of global growth. Cabinet Secretary Teddy revealed the names of a dozen investors who met with Prabowo in the capital of the U.S. Among them was Todd Boehly, the CEO of Eldridge Industries and owner of the English Premier League club Chelsea and the LA Lakers basketball team. Additionally, Armen Panossian was present. He is the CEO of Oaktree and the owner of the Italian soccer club Inter Milan. Also present were Matt Harris from BlackRock Founding Partners and Global Infrastructure Partners; Martin Escobari, Co-President and Head of Global Growth Equity at General Atlantic; Al Rabil, CEO of Kayne Anderson; Neil R. Brown, Managing Director of Global Institute Infrastructure KKR. Other investors included Michael Weinberg, Chairperson of the Investment Committee at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP); Justin Metz, Managing Partner of Related Fund Management (RFM); Luke Taylor, Co-President of Stonepeak; Nabil Mallick, COO of Thrive Capital; Jeffrey Perlman, CEO of Warburg Pincus; and Seth Bernstein of Bernstein Equity Partners. During his visit to the U.S., Prabowo spoke to business leaders at a summit hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
