Prabowo Meets Putin at the Kremlin Palace in Russia: I Am Very Grateful

Moscow, CNBC Indonesia - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto met with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin Palace, Moscow, Russia, on Monday (13/4/2026) local time.

Accompanying Prabowo were Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. Meanwhile, Putin was accompanied by, among others, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

In his opening remarks, Prabowo expressed thanks to Putin.

“I am the one who is grateful because I was received on such short notice, but amid your noble busyness, Your Excellency was able to receive me. I am very grateful,” he said.

Following their last meeting in December 2025, Prabowo revealed that he had met many delegations from Russia in Jakarta.

“And also in Moscow, I have just met several Russian officials and some Russian companies. I am very grateful because the discussions were very productive,” he stated.
