Prabowo Meets Macron at the Élysée Palace, Discusses Defence Equipment and New Energy
Following the completion of his state visit to Russia, President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto continued his itinerary to France and met with President of the Republic of France Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Tuesday (14/4/2026) local time. As quoted from the official Instagram account of the President @presidenrepublikindonesia, in that meeting, the two national leaders discussed strengthening cooperation in various sectors. “Including the procurement of alutsista (main weapon system equipment) and strengthening the defence industry, energy transition and the development of new renewable energy, infrastructure and transportation, up to education and the creative economy,” wrote @presidenrepublikindonesia. As one of the important partners in the European region, Indonesia continues to promote sustainable cooperation with France in order to open up new collaborative opportunities that are increasingly concrete and mutually beneficial for both countries.
