Prabowo: Many Nations Facing Crises; People Should Remain Calm, Situation Still Manageable

Jakarta, Kompas.com – President Prabowo Subianto stated that the world is currently in a situation filled with uncertainty. Prabowo noted that many nations globally are experiencing crises. He made this statement during a Cabinet meeting at the Palace in Jakarta on Friday (13 March 2026).

“The world is full of uncertainty. We can see that crises are afflicting many nations,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo emphasised that the government will confront any crisis. He ordered that economic activity must continue to run.

Furthermore, Prabowo also called on the public to remain calm amid this global uncertainty. He stressed that Indonesia still possesses strength and capability.

Meanwhile, regarding preparations for Eid al-Fitr 2026, Prabowo instructed his agencies to ensure that the holiday exodus proceeds smoothly, safely, and comfortably.

“For all ministries and agencies, I hope that we implement preparations for Eid. Let us ensure that this year’s exodus runs smoothly, safely, comfortably, and with great joy. Prioritise road safety. And prepare all aspects thoroughly,” added Prabowo.
