Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto has emphasised that the Indonesian nation should not feel inferior in the presence of other countries. According to him, many countries are now beginning to study the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme implemented by the government.

Prabowo reminded people not to always consider foreign nations superior. In fact, Indonesia has achieved something commendable through the MBG programme.

“Brothers and sisters, we must not be a nation that feels inferior, insecure, insecure, insecure, always thinking that foreign nations are great. Many countries are now learning MBG from us, many are learning MBG from us,” said Prabowo during the groundbreaking ceremony for 13 National Downstreaming Projects phase II in Cilacap, Central Java, on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

According to the head of state, the MBG programme has an extraordinary impact because it reaches more than 60 million beneficiaries, with distribution five times a week. The programme is also enjoyed by vulnerable groups such as pregnant women and the elderly.

“Where is there a country that can feed more than 60 million people, five times a week, where pregnant mothers have meals delivered, elderly and helpless people have meals delivered. Show me where, which country,” stated Prabowo.

Although Prabowo acknowledged that perhaps large countries like China can do that. However, he continued, China started it earlier.
