Depok (ANTARA) - The Chairperson of the Prabowo Love Movement (GCP), H. Kurniawan, has emphasised that the group is ready to safeguard President Prabowo Subianto until the end of his term in 2029.

“We are prepared to stand firm to ensure President Prabowo serves until 2029,” said H. Kurniawan during the event “Evaluation and Consolidation of Massive Attacks by Prabowo’s Haters” at the GCP Secretariat in Cibinong, Bogor, on Sunday.

Consequently, Kurniawan urged all GCP members to unify their vision and mission to support and monitor President Prabowo’s work programmes.

According to him, in recent months, President Prabowo has faced various negative attacks from opposing parties, which have created an uncooperative atmosphere. He claimed these situations were deliberately engineered by President Prabowo’s detractors to downgrade his standing and make him less acceptable to the public.

“We declare that GCP volunteers are the vanguard in protecting and defending President Prabowo,” he stated.

Furthermore, Kurniawan mentioned that if President Prabowo remains in good health, the GCP is prepared to nominate him for a second term.

Responding to statements by Projo Chairperson Budi Arie Setiadi, who speculated on the possibility of an accelerated general election before 2029, Kurniawan stated that his team has consulted with legal counsel to report Budi Arie Setiadi to the Metro Jaya Regional Police.

“At the latest by Wednesday, we will report Budi Arie Setiadi,” he said.

Budi Arie Setiadi admitted that his statements had triggered various speculations and misinterpretations. He noted that his remarks were merely his own personal analysis and opinion.

“I, Budi Arie Setiadi, apologise to all parties who were displeased or uncomfortable with my statement,” he said in a video recording received in Jakarta on Wednesday (26/8).
