President Prabowo Subianto chaired a limited meeting at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor District, West Java, on Monday evening, 9 March. The meeting discussed the progress of the national food and energy self-sufficiency programmes and government readiness for Idul Fitri, including ensuring the availability of LPG and food supplies.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, who attended the meeting, stated that the Hambalang gathering was attended by several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet and other state officials.

“This strategic meeting focused on two main government agendas: the progress of food and energy self-sufficiency programmes and readiness for Idul Fitri, particularly regarding food availability and LPG supply,” said Teddy when contacted in Jakarta.

According to him, the meeting served as a government coordination forum to evaluate national priority agendas whilst ensuring readiness for the Idul Fitri momentum.

Several officials who attended the meeting included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, and Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of BPN Nusron Wahid.

Also present were Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Minister/State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.

In addition to the ministers, the meeting was attended by other officials, including Deputy Armed Forces Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, Presidential Chief of Staff Muhammad Qodari, PT Pindad Chief Executive Sigit P. Santosa, Head of the Defence Logistics Agency Air Vice Marshal Yusuf Jauhari, and Pertamina Commissioner Hasan Nasbi.

The Presidential Secretariat stated that the Hambalang meeting was part of the government’s efforts to ensure various national strategic programmes proceeded as planned, whilst maintaining the stability of essential and energy supplies during Ramadan through Idul Fitri.
