Prabowo Leads Limited Meeting to Discuss Food Self-Sufficiency and Eid Preparations

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto convened a limited meeting at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor District, West Java, on Monday evening (9 March) to discuss progress on food self-sufficiency and preparations for the Eid al-Fitr holiday break, including matters relating to LPG stock levels.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, who participated in the meeting, explained when contacted in Jakarta that the Hambalang gathering was attended by several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet and other state officials.

“This strategic meeting focused on two main government agendas: progress on self-sufficiency, evaluating the development of food self-sufficiency and energy and oil self-sufficiency programmes; and Eid al-Fitr preparedness, ensuring the availability of food items and LPG supplies ahead of the Islamic festival,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy said.

Teddy explained that the meeting served as a government coordination forum to discuss national priority agendas and the government’s readiness to address the Eid holiday period.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy then listed the officials who participated in the meeting, including the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Agriculture Minister Amran Sulaiman, Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, and Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Minister/Head of the National Land Agency Nusron Wahid.

The meeting also included the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi.

Other officials who participated in the meeting included Deputy Military Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, Presidential Chief of Staff Muhammad Qodari, PT Pindad Chief Executive Officer Sigit P. Santosa, Head of the Defence Ministry’s Logistics Agency Air Vice-Marshal Yusuf Jauhari, and Pertamina Commissioner Hasan Nasbi.

The Presidential Secretariat stated in its official announcement that the Monday evening meeting in Hambalang reflected the government’s commitment to ensuring various national strategic programmes proceed as planned whilst maintaining stable supplies of essential commodities and energy so that citizens can observe Ramadan and celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely and comfortably.
