Prabowo Leads Limited Meeting in Hambalang, Discusses Workers' and Higher Education Aspirations
President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto led a limited meeting (ratas) with several members of the Merah Putih Cabinet in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java. The ratas discussed aspirations from labour unions up to matters related to education, namely the role of higher education institutions.
The moment of the ratas was uploaded to the official Instagram account of the Cabinet Secretariat. The ratas took place on Saturday (2/5/2026).
“In the afternoon to evening on Saturday, 2 May 2026, President Prabowo Subianto held a Limited Meeting with several members of the Merah Putih Cabinet in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java,” stated the caption of the post.
This meeting delved deeply into the development of various strategic national issues to ensure the direction of Government policy. Among them were aspirations from labour unions from all over Indonesia up to matters related to education, namely the role of higher education institutions in the country to directly participate in building their regions, especially through the utilisation of engineering faculties in those higher education institutions.
“Some of the main points discussed included the conveyance of aspirations from labour unions across all regions in the country, and related to education, including the utilisation of the role of higher education institutions in the country to directly participate in building their regions, particularly through the engineering faculties in those higher education institutions,” wrote the caption in the post.
“The Government continues to commit to delivering policies that protect, educate, and prosper all layers of Indonesian society,” it added.
The ratas was directly led by Prabowo with a round table setup. Several officials present at the ratas included TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Deputy TNI Commander General TNI Tandyo Budi Revita, Minister of Defence Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Army Chief of Staff General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, and Navy Chief of Staff Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali.
Also present were Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) M Herindra, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Brian Yuliarto, Minister Secretary of State (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, Head of the Government Communication Agency Muhammad Qodari, Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital (Wamenkomdigi) Angga Raka Prabowo, Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya, and President Director of PT Pindad Sigit Puji Santosa.
