Prabowo Jokingly Dubs Dasco, Cak Imin, and Bahlil as 'The Three Mouse Deer'

President Prabowo Subianto cracked jokes at the expense of political party leaders while attending the peak of the National Awakening Party’s (PKB) 28th anniversary celebrations at the Jakarta Convention Center on Thursday evening (23/7/2026).

In his speech, Prabowo playfully roasted PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), Executive Chairman of the Great Indonesia Movement Party Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and Chairman of the Party of Functional Groups (Golkar) Bahlil Lahadalia.

The atmosphere was filled with laughter when Prabowo remarked on the attire worn by PKB cadres, bearing the slogan “Prabowonomics”.

“I’m worried that if I stay here too long, I won’t be able to hold back my tears. Even Gerindra doesn’t wear that shirt, Co (Dasco’s nickname)… be careful, Co. Do you still want to be executive chairman?” said Prabowo, to the laughter of Dasco and the audience.

Prabowo then suggested that the slogan on the shirts was Cak Imin’s clever idea, before bestowing the nickname “kancil” (cunning trickster) on the two political figures.

“This is Gus Imin’s trickery, sir. Indonesia does indeed have two ‘kancil’ leaders, two of them. Gus Imin and Sufmi Dasco. Pak Dasco is now a professor, but he used to be a provocateur. Co, if I hadn’t pulled you along, who knows where you’d be now,” Prabowo joked.

He did not stop there. Prabowo then added Bahlil’s name as the third “kancil”.

“The third kancil is probably the Golkar chairman. If those three ever gather together, we’d really be in trouble,” Prabowo quipped.

After delivering his jokes, Prabowo expressed his appreciation to PKB for the invitation, saying he was touched by the gesture from the party.
