Prabowo jokingly calls Gus Imin, Dasco, and Bahlil 'kancil leaders'

President Prabowo Subianto jokingly referred to National Awakening Party (PKB) Chairman Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, Gerindra Party Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, and Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia as ‘kancil leaders’ during the peak celebration of PKB’s 28th anniversary in Jakarta on Thursday evening. ‘Indeed, in Indonesia there are two kancil leaders, Gus Imin and Sufmi Dasco,’ Prabowo said in his speech. He then continued his jest by naming Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia as the next ‘kancil’. ‘The third kancil might be the Golkar Chairman. When the three of them gather, it’s trouble,’ he said. ‘Co, be careful. Do you still want to be Daily Chairman or not? This seems like Gus Imin’s trick,’ Prabowo added, laughing. Prabowo admitted he was touched by PKB’s support for the government’s economic policy direction, often dubbed ‘Prabowonomics’. He also appreciated PKB cadres who wore T-shirts bearing the term ‘Prabowonomics’, though he considered the use of his name for the concept inappropriate. ‘You have given me extraordinary appreciation. Even Gerindra doesn’t wear T-shirts like you. How come, Dasco? Gerindra doesn’t wear them because they know I wouldn’t allow it. If you had asked permission, I would not have allowed it,’ he said. ‘This is Pancasila economics, this is constitutional economics, this is the people’s economy. But I feel honoured, so I thank you from the bottom of my heart,’ he added. Prabowo attended the peak of PKB’s 28th anniversary at the Jakarta Convention Centre, accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and PKB Chairman Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar. Also present were Gerindra Party Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia, National Mandate Party Chairman Zulkifli Hasan, and Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
