Prabowo Jokes PKB Always First to Invite President to Anniversary, Teases Golkar

President Prabowo Subianto attended the 28th anniversary of the National Awakening Party (PKB) at the Jakarta Convention Centre (JCC). In his speech, Prabowo joked that PKB’s anniversary is always the first to invite the president.

Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia, who was present at the event, was seen laughing in response to Prabowo’s quip.

Prabowo then mentioned the Democratic Party’s anniversary, which is usually held in August. He continued to joke about PKB and its clerics. ‘How can PKB do that? What kind of knowledge is this? It’s scary, these clerics,’ he said.

Prabowo also recalled last year’s PKB anniversary event, where he mentioned a speech by Kiai Ma’ruf Amin. He said the speech by the 13th Vice President of Indonesia was very fierce, even fiercer than his own. ‘Do you remember? I had just sat down, hadn’t even had coffee yet, and he was already giving orders to the president, Article 33, oh my… Kiai Ma’ruf Amin was really fierce.
