Prabowo Issues Stern Warning: Do Not Provide False Reports
JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto issued a stern warning to his officials against providing him with false reports.
He demanded that reports submitted to him be accurate and reflect the actual conditions on the ground.
The warning was issued by Prabowo during Danantara Indonesia’s first anniversary celebration in Central Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
“Do not toy with me again with false reports, reports meant to please, reports designed to deceive. I am issuing this stern warning,” Prabowo stated on Wednesday.
The reports in question relate to the return on assets (RoA) of the state investment management body, which has increased by 300 per cent compared to the previous year.
Prabowo expressed hope that the report is genuine and reminded his officials that they must not submit false reports merely to satisfy their leadership.
“I have received a report, and I hope it is accurate,” Prabowo said.
“I have received a report and I am quite pleased—the return on asset for 2025 compared to previous years has increased by more than 300 per cent,” he added.
On the other hand, Prabowo expressed gratitude that during its first year of operation, Danantara’s management has proven to be effective.
He acknowledged his gratitude that Indonesia now possesses a body that can be compared to Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWF) globally.
“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a Sovereign Wealth Fund that ranks among the sixth or seventh largest in the world. With political will and the right spirit, the results are already evident,” Prabowo remarked.
