Prabowo Issues Presidential Regulation on Ad Hoc Judges' Allowances, Here Are the Details
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has issued Presidential Regulation (Perpres) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5 of 2026 concerning the Financial Rights and Facilities of Ad Hoc Judges on 4 February 2026.
From the policy, the considerations for issuing this presidential regulation are to improve the quality of judicial administration supported by ad hoc judges who are integrous, professional, and independent in carrying out their duties as per applicable regulations.
Additionally, the considerations stem from the need to regulate the financial rights and facilities of ad hoc judges as officials exercising judicial power in an integrated manner within statutory regulations.
Article 1 states that an ad hoc judge is a temporary judge with expertise and experience in a specific field to examine, try, and decide on a case, with their appointment regulated by law.
Article 3 point 1 states that ad hoc judges are given a monthly allowance.
“This Presidential Regulation shall come into force on the date of its promulgation. To ensure that everyone knows about it, it is ordered that it be promulgated by placing it in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia,” states the presidential regulation.
The following are the amounts of allowances for ad hoc judges according to Presidential Regulation Number 5 of 2026:

Corruption Offences Court First Instance Level: Rp 49,300,000
Corruption Offences Court Appellate Level: Rp 64,500,000
Corruption Offences Court Cassation Level: Rp 105,270,000.
Industrial Relations Court
Industrial Relations Court First Instance Level: Rp 49,300,000
Industrial Relations Court Cassation Level: Rp 105,270,000
