Prabowo Issues Presidential Decree Appointing Kuntadi as New Jampidsus, Replacing Febrie

President Prabowo Subianto has signed a Presidential Decree (Keppres) appointing Kuntadi as the new Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), replacing Febrie Adriansyah, who has become a suspect.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (22/7/2026) that the decree was signed following an assessment by the Final Assessment Team, based on a proposal from the Attorney General. He added that the administrative process would be completed today, with the excerpt of the decree to be sent to the Attorney General’s Office.

Pras had previously indicated that President Prabowo would sign the decree shortly, following a formal letter from Attorney General ST Burhanuddin proposing a replacement after the previous official submitted his resignation. The Attorney General had proposed Kuntadi for the position the week prior.

Kuntadi is a senior prosecutor within the Adhyaksa Corps. Born in Semarang, Central Java, in January 1970, he began his career at the Attorney General’s Office in 1996 as an administrative staff member in the Special Crimes division.
