Prabowo Introduces Danantara and Dony Oskaria at Kebumen Harvest Festival
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto introduced the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) alongside Danantara’s COO, Dony Oskaria, while attending a large-scale shrimp harvest in Kebumen, Central Java, on Saturday.
“Danantara is our sovereign wealth fund, short for Daya Anagata Nusantara. Daya means energy or strength, and Anagata means the future. Therefore, they manage the wealth of the entire nation for our children and grandchildren,” said President Prabowo, as quoted from a press release by the BPMI of the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta.
During the event, President Prabowo specifically introduced Dony Oskaria, who serves as the Head of the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara. The introduction took place at the Area-Based Shrimp Aquaculture (BUBK) zone, which serves as a symbol of modernisation within the fisheries sector.
President Prabowo emphasised that Danantara functions as a sovereign wealth fund established to manage national wealth for long-term interests. Regarding the scale of management, the President revealed that Danantara coordinates approximately 1,040 State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). The total value of assets under management reaches nearly US$1 trillion, equivalent to IDR 17,000 trillion.
The President issued a stern message to Dony Oskaria and his entire team to maintain integrity in managing these funds. He requested that such vast national assets be managed with extreme caution to prevent any leakage of public money.
Additionally, the President expressed his appreciation for the productivity of the shrimp ponds, which have reached international standards with production yields of up to 40 tonnes per hectare.
In a separate event, Dony Oskaria highlighted the performance of State-Owned Enterprises at the Jogja Financial Festival 2026. He stated that BUMN profits in 2025 are projected to reach IDR 335 trillion and have the potential to increase to IDR 360 trillion in 2026, while simultaneously refuting the notion that SOEs fail to generate profits.
