Prabowo Instructs Transport Minister to Ensure Successful Implementation of Aircraft and Train Discounts for Homecoming Travel

JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto has instructed Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi to ensure that discount policies for various transport modes used for Lebaran homecoming travel are implemented effectively.

The transport modes covered include aircraft tickets, train fares, ship tickets, and toll road discounts.

This directive was communicated by Prabowo during a full cabinet session at the State Palace, Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta, on Friday, 13 March 2026.

“I am instructing the Transport Minister to ensure that the discount pricing policy can be implemented as effectively as possible, including discounts on aircraft tickets, train tickets, ship tickets, and toll roads,” said Prabowo on Friday.

He requested that officials pay close attention to service quality at rest areas, ports, airports, and all train stations. Prabowo asked for service quality improvements across these facilities.

The same applies to the energy sector. The former Defence Minister requested that there be no queues when citizens purchase fuel.

“Do your best to ensure there are no uncontrolled queues. Fuel availability, electricity supply and internet networks should be kept stable,” he said.

Moreover, said Prabowo, the upcoming Lebaran celebration marks the second Lebaran during his administration.

“Coordinating Minister for Food, Minister of Trade, Minister of Agriculture — ensure that food supply is stable and safe and that prices remain manageable. Some ministers may provide their reports later,” said Prabowo.
