Prabowo Instructs TNI Commander and National Police Chief for Smooth Eid Homecoming

President Prabowo Subianto has issued instructions to TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo ahead of Eid al-Fitr. Prabowo has requested the Commander and Police Chief to mobilise all resources available to the TNI and police to ensure the smooth running of the 2026 Eid homecoming.

“I request the TNI Commander and Police Chief to mobilise the resources available to the TNI and police to assist in ensuring this homecoming proceeds smoothly. It is possible that the Navy and Army possess vessels,” Prabowo said whilst chairing a Full Cabinet Session on Eid preparations at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday (13 March 2026).

“Perhaps these could be made available and coordinated with the Transport Minister, and I believe the police also have assets and resources to assist,” he added.

Additionally, Prabowo requested Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi to ensure that the public transport ticket discount policy is implemented effectively. He also reminded officials to provide the best service to travellers.

“I request the Transport Minister to ensure that the discount price policy is implemented as well as possible, including discounts on aeroplane tickets, train tickets, ship tickets and toll roads, and to ensure good service at every location,” he said.

Furthermore, Prabowo requested that all ministries and agencies accelerate government priority spending for the public. He stressed that all ministries and agencies must work together to prepare for the Eid homecoming to ensure it runs well, safely and comfortably for the people.

“For all ministries and agencies, I hope that we carry out preparations for Eid, we ensure that this year’s homecoming runs well, safely, comfortably and joyfully,” said Prabowo.

“Prioritise road safety. And prepare every aspect thoroughly,” he said.
