President Prabowo Subianto has instructed Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM and Head of the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI), Rosan Roeslani, to openly convey various positive data regarding investment developments in Indonesia.

The directive was given by the President while receiving several members of the Red and White Cabinet at his residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Sunday evening (14/6).

The meeting was attended by Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Head of the SOE Regulatory Body Dony Oskaria, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya explained that the President received a report from Rosan regarding the results of a working visit to the United States and several countries in Europe and Asia.

Based on the report, the government obtained various data indicating increasing international confidence in Indonesia as an investment destination.

According to Teddy, this confidence is reflected in the high interest from global investors and the inflow of investment into various national strategic sectors.

“The report shows valid facts and data on the increasing confidence of the international community towards Indonesia, which is reflected in the high interest and inflow of investment into various national strategic sectors,” Teddy stated.

Following up on the report, President Prabowo requested that information on investment developments and the positive response from global investors be conveyed openly to the public.

The Head of State considers that the public needs to receive complete and data-based information regarding the national investment climate and Indonesia’s economic prospects.

“The President also ordered Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani to present this positive data to the public openly on Monday, 15 June 2026, at the Merdeka Palace,” Teddy said.

According to him, this step is part of the government’s commitment to delivering transparent and fact-based information to the public.

The government believes that openness regarding investment achievements is important to strengthen public optimism towards the national economy.

The inflow of investment into various strategic sectors is considered one indicator of investor confidence in Indonesia’s economic stability, business climate, and long-term growth prospects.

Previously, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani reported to President Prabowo Subianto that investment realisation in the first quarter of 2026 reached Rp498.79 trillion, or 100.36 percent of the quarterly target of Rp497 trillion. This value increased by 7.22 percent compared to the same period last year and serves as one indicator of rising investor confidence in Indonesia.

Teddy emphasised that the President’s directive reflects the government’s commitment to building open, transparent, and accountable governance.

In addition to providing clear information to the public, the openness of investment data is also expected to increase the confidence of business actors and investors in the direction of the government’s economic policy.

Amid ongoing global economic dynamics, the government is optimistic that Indonesia remains one of the attractive investment destinations in the region.

This step simultaneously demonstrates the government’s efforts to maintain economic growth momentum through increased investment and national industrial downstreaming.
