President Prabowo Subiando convened his economic ministers at the State Palace in Jakarta this afternoon. Attendees included Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara and the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, who also serves as the CEO of Danantara, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani.

Following the meeting, Suahasil stated that the Head of State issued a specific directive for the Ministry of Finance, acting as the state treasurer, to share responsibilities with the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) to safeguard the Indonesian economy.

“In essence, Danantara and the State Budget (APBN) must collaborate and share tasks to maintain Indonesia’s economic stability,” Suahasil said near the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (30/09/2026).

Within these respective roles, the President instructed Suahasil to focus the State Budget on funding public services, basic infrastructure development, and government operations. Meanwhile, Danantara will take the lead in strengthening investment.

“Danantara represents investment. Investment will be very strong within Danantara. We discussed at length the synergistic movements that we need to undertake together,” she emphasised.

During the session, Suahasil also reported to President Prabowo Subianto regarding the implementation of the 2027 State Budget following its approval in yesterday’s parliamentary plenary session.

“I reported the amount of state revenue to be collected as well as the total expenditure. State revenue is projected at over Rp 3,400 trillion, while state expenditure is projected at over Rp 4,100 trillion,” Suahasil explained.

She claimed to have provided input to the President during the meeting, noting that the future State Budget must remain healthy amidst highly uncertain global economic conditions.

“In the short term, I informed the President regarding the importance of continuously maintaining economic conditions, including the strengthening of various forms of assistance required for the current situation,” she added.
