Prabowo inspects Senen railway embankment settlements, prepares decent housing
President Prabowo Subianto directly inspected residents’ settlements along the railway tracks in the Senen area, Jakarta, on Thursday afternoon. Quoted from President Prabowo’s official Instagram, as confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday, the visit was conducted to observe the community’s housing conditions while directly absorbing residents’ aspirations. Wearing a blue shirt, black trousers, and a light brown cap, Prabowo, accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, walked through the settlement area located about three kilometres from central Jakarta. Prabowo dialogued with residents about their living conditions, which were deemed inadequate. “This afternoon, I walked through the settlements along the railway tracks in the Senen area, Central Jakarta. Located about 3 km from the city centre. Listening to the aspirations of the people there,” Prabowo stated. Prabowo said the government would act quickly to prepare the construction of decent housing for residents along the railway embankment. He emphasised that providing decent and safe accommodation is the government’s determination in improving public welfare. “Insya Allah, we will soon build decent housing for the people in that area quickly, and it has become my determination to provide decent housing for the Indonesian people,” he concluded.
