Prabowo Inspects Free Nutritious Meal Programme at SMPN 111 Jakarta, Joins Students for Lunch

President Prabowo Subianto inspected the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at State Junior High School (SMPN) 111 Jakarta on Tuesday (2/6/2026). According to official reports, Prabowo’s arrival was met with enthusiasm by students waiting within the school grounds.

As reported by the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, the cheers and warm greetings from students accompanied the Head of State as he entered the school area. Prabowo was seen reciprocating the welcome with waves.

Upon entering the school premises, Prabowo personally inspected the classrooms to observe the MBG programme in action. Inside the classrooms, students were seen enjoying the nutritious meals provided.

In one of the classes, Prabowo joined the students for lunch. In another classroom, a warm and intimate atmosphere prevailed as the President took the time to converse with the students. The Head of State asked about their future aspirations, which was met with enthusiastic responses from the students.

“Who wants to be a doctor? Who wants to be an engineer? Who wants to be a teacher? Who wants to be a football player?” Prabowo asked. The students responded enthusiastically to his questions. The interaction was filled with familiarity and lighthearted jokes, further easing the atmosphere in the classroom. Prabowo and the students also sang the ‘Hymne Guru’ (Teachers’ Hymn) together.
