Prabowo Inspects Evacuation Post for NTT Earthquake Victims

President Prabowo Subianto directly inspected the evacuation post for victims of the magnitude 7 earthquake in Nagekeo, East Nusa Tenggara. His arrival was welcomed by earthquake victims in tents, including children.

Prabowo arrived at the evacuation post at 15.10 WITA wearing a safari suit and a blue cap. Evacuees emerged from their tents to witness his arrival. Prabowo immediately checked clean water sources, water treatment facilities, and the communal kitchen within the post area.

Accompanying Prabowo on the visit were Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and National Police Chief General Sigit Prabowo.

Before inspecting the evacuation post, Prabowo first chaired a coordination meeting attended by ministers and heads of agencies.

“I would like to express my appreciation to the TNI Commander, the National Police Chief, all chiefs of staff, regional military commanders, regional police chiefs, Basarnas, and the Regional Disaster Management Agency. I convey my thanks, and those of the central government, to everyone for their hard work and rapid response,” Prabowo said during the meeting.
