Prabowo Insists No More False Reports to Please Leadership
President Prabowo Subianto has warned his officials not to submit false reports or information that does not reflect actual conditions, emphasising the need to eliminate report manipulation.
Prabowo stated he did not want to receive manipulated reports designed to please leadership. “I have difficulty obtaining reports; I hope this is a truthful report. Please stop sending me false reports, pleasing reports, reports designed to be deceptive,” Prabowo said during the Danantara Anniversary Event in Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March.
Regarding Danantara’s performance, Prabowo noted it was satisfactory, citing several reports from the institution. The assets of Danantara, according to Prabowo, showed an increase of nearly 300 per cent.
“I received reports and I am quite pleased; assets in 2025 compared to the previous year increased by more than 300 per cent,” he stated.
Additionally, he mentioned Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund, a long-term government-managed investment fund, which he described as one of the largest in the world. Prabowo noted that management over the past year has demonstrated positive results.
“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a sovereign wealth fund, possibly the seventh largest in the world, and we are also grateful that management over the past year has produced positive outcomes,” he added.
Prabowo announced that he had received reports showing the return on assets of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) under Danantara’s purview increased by more than 300 per cent over the past year.
The President emphasised that this programme represents a direct government decision that must be realised promptly. Prabowo also reminded Danantara Indonesia’s management officials not to become complacent with performance achievements in the institution’s first year of operation.
