Prabowo: Indonesia Will Rise with Its Own Strength, No Room for Complacency

President Prabowo Subianto has asserted that Indonesia does not want to be a complacent nation and is determined to rise using its own strength to pursue development targets and enhance the people’s welfare as quickly as possible. Speaking while leading an integrated harvest event simultaneously across 43 locations in Indonesia from Abdulrachman Saleh Air Force Base in Malang, East Java, Prabowo stated, “We do not want to be a nation that takes it easy. We will prove to the world that Indonesia is rising with its own strength.” The President emphasised that the government is aware the people have endured hardship for too long, a situation unbefitting a large and wealthy country like Indonesia. He stressed his commitment to doing the utmost to achieve the highest goals for the people and to show the world that Indonesia is rising through its own efforts. While Indonesia seeks friendship with all nations, Prabowo underscored the need for unity and solidarity to secure and manage the nation’s wealth for the benefit of its own people. He issued a stern warning that he would not tolerate those entrusted and paid by the people who implement policies detrimental to them, including engaging in corruption. The President also expressed appreciation for the hard work of ministers, agency heads, the TNI, and Polri in pursuing government targets, noting that many senior officials have suffered exhaustion requiring medical treatment due to the high intensity of their work. He said the integrated harvest event demonstrated that food security is no longer solely the concern of the Ministry of Agriculture but has become a national movement involving the entire strength of the nation. Praising the spirit of unity, collaboration, and mutual cooperation, Prabowo also referenced a previous corn harvest event with the National Police, stating that the involvement of the TNI and Polri shows they are not only guardians of defence and security but are an inseparable part of the people.
