Prabowo: Indonesia Must Not Lose to Those Plundering National Wealth
President Prabowo Subianto has stated that the Indonesian nation must not lose out to those who have been plundering national wealth for personal gain.
In his remarks at the Nuzulul Quran Commemoration event at the State Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday evening (10 March), President Prabowo emphasised his commitment to eradicating corruption and various embezzlement practices that harm the state.
“Indeed, we must eliminate corruption and embezzlement, all practices that are incorrect and improper and forbidden by all religions,” he said.
President Prabowo stressed that no nation can advance if its government is unable to cleanse itself of corrupt practices.
“No nation succeeds when its government cannot cleanse itself of corruption. This is what religion and history teach us,” he stated.
On the same occasion, President Prabowo highlighted the existence of parties attempting to seize national wealth and take it overseas, whilst the Indonesian people are left in a weakened state.
“We must not lose to those who want to take the people’s wealth, take it to another country, and keep the Indonesian nation and people in a weakened condition,” he insisted.
Furthermore, President Prabowo also requested the support and prayers of religious scholars so that the government is able to uphold truth and justice for all Indonesian people.
“I ask for your continued prayers; I request your support. We will carry out and uphold truth and justice,” he said.
