Prabowo: Indonesia is transforming from regulation to food

President Prabowo Subianto has stated that Indonesia is currently entering a phase of massive transformation across various sectors, from the economy and regulation to food and energy, in a bid to become a modern, prosperous, and just nation. According to Prabowo, Indonesia is now at a critical point in its national journey, despite a global situation still marked by uncertainty, tension, and conflict. “The Indonesian nation is at a crossroads of history. We are carrying out a major transformation amidst a world full of uncertainty, amidst a world full of tension and conflict,” Prabowo said during a speech commemorating the 80th Bhayangkara Day at the Brimob Police Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday. The President explained that the transformation being undertaken by the government covers various strategic fields, ranging from the economy, bureaucracy, and education to food and energy. These steps are being taken to strengthen national competitiveness while improving the people’s welfare. The main goal of this transformation is to build Indonesia as a modern country based on justice and popular sovereignty. “Our transformation is for Indonesia to become a modern country, a prosperous country with justice. A country that stands on the sovereignty of the people,” he said. Furthermore, the President stressed the importance of the police force’s role in maintaining national stability. He stated that the success of national development and transformation requires an orderly and conducive situation. History shows that civilisations that survive and thrive are those with strong and professional police institutions. The President noted that no country can be strong without a state apparatus that is trusted by the people, loyal to the people, and protects the people. “The history of human civilisation shows that a successful civilisation has a superior police force. It is a lasting civilisation that endures, that succeeds,” he said.
