Prabowo: Indonesia is transforming from regulation to food
Bogor Regency, West Java (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto stated that Indonesia is currently entering a phase of massive transformation across various sectors, ranging from the economy, regulation, and food to energy, in order to become a modern, prosperous, and equitable nation.
According to Prabowo, Indonesia is at a critical juncture in its national history, even amidst a global situation still characterised by uncertainty, tension, and conflict.
“The Indonesian nation is at a historical crossroads. We are undergoing a major transformation in a world full of uncertainty, amidst a world of tension and conflict,” said Prabow during a speech commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Bhayangkara at the Polri Brimob Training Unit, Cikeas, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday.
The President explained that the transformations being undertaken by the government encompass various strategic fields, including the economy, bureaucracy, education, food, and energy. These steps are being taken to strengthen national competitiveness while simultaneously improving public welfare.
The primary goal of this transformation is to build Indonesia as a modern nation based on justice and people’s sovereignty.
“Our transformation is so that Indonesia becomes a modern nation, a prosperous nation in justice. A nation that stands upon the sovereignty of the people,” he said.
Furthermore, the President emphasised the vital role of the National Police (Polri) in maintaining national stability. He stated that the success of national development and transformation requires an orderly and conducive situation.
He noted that history shows that civilizations capable of surviving and thriving are those that possess strong and professional policing institutions. The President remarked that no nation can be strong without state apparatus that is trusted by the people, loyal to the people, and protects the people.
“The history of human civilisation shows that a civilisation that succeeds is one that possesses an excellent police force. That is the enduring, long-lasting, and successful civilisation,” he concluded.
