President Prabowo Subianto stated that Indonesia is currently on the right path. He argued that commentary suggesting Indonesia is in a dark state is an attempt to dampen morale, and is untrue.

"The point is we are on the right track. Efforts to make it seem as though Indonesia is in difficulty, that Indonesia is in darkness, that Indonesia's economy has failed — ladies and gentlemen, these are attempts to lower our morale, and they are simply not true," Prabowo said.

He noted that several government initiatives have attracted international attention, including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.

"The free nutritious meals programme is being discussed abroad. There has never been a programme like it. By this July, the number of beneficiaries will have reached more than 6 million children and pregnant mothers. God willing, by the end of August it will reach 20 million," Prabowo said.

He added that government rice reserves have also made history, surpassing 4.2 million tonnes. Prabowo also claimed that food production has increased.

"Maize production has risen by 30 per cent, rice by 48 per cent, and we will continue to crack down — there are still many malicious schemes by certain businesspeople who deceive the public," Prabowo said.

He also stated that the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara), which he initiated, will serve as a driving force for the nation's future.

"Danantara is about safeguarding and managing the wealth of our children, grandchildren and future generations, ladies and gentlemen. Danantara now manages assets of more than one thousand billion US dollars," Prabowo said.
