Prabowo: Indonesia and Belarus Launch 2026-2030 Cooperation Roadmap
President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, have officially launched the Roadmap for Strengthening Indonesia–Belarus Cooperation 2026–2030 as a foundation to bolster bilateral relations between the two nations.
Prabowo emphasised that the launch of this roadmap reflects the commitment of both Indonesia and Belarus to build more targeted and mutually beneficial cooperation across various strategic sectors.
“Today, both countries have launched the Roadmap for Strengthening Indonesia–Belarus Cooperation 2026–2030, which will serve as the framework for developing bilateral relations over the next five years. This roadmap reflects a shared commitment to more directed and concrete cooperation,” said Prabowo on Thursday, 2 July 2026.
Both nations also discussed various strategic steps to strengthen partnerships in politics, economy, trade, industry, food security, and human resource development.
In the food security sector, Prabowo stated that Indonesia and Belarus possess complementary potentials. Cooperation will be strengthened through the development of modern agriculture, the supply of fertilisers, agricultural technology, and heavy machinery to support increased productivity in the agricultural sector.
In the economic field, both countries agreed to expand partnerships that support their respective national development agendas. Future cooperation will encompass industrial development, agricultural modernisation, strengthening supply chains, and technological advancement.
Regarding trade, Prabowo expressed his appreciation to Belarus for completing the ratification process of the Indonesia–Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement (I–EAEU FTA). He noted that Indonesia is currently in the process of completing the ratification of the said agreement.
Prabowo also revealed that the commitment to strengthening bilateral relations was manifested through the signing of several cooperation documents by delegations from both countries.
These agreements cover cooperation in health, culture, national accreditation, financial transaction reporting, industry, science and technology, financial services, and defence.
“I hope that this cooperation can be implemented immediately so that it provides real benefits in the near future for both countries,” said Prabowo.
Meanwhile, Lukashenko stated that Belarus will support the implementation of the roadmap, recognising Indonesia as an important economic partner for Belarus in the Southeast Asian region.
