President Prabowo Subianto officially opened the renovated Seskoad Museum and Library in Bandung, West Java, on Monday, 25 May 2026. The inauguration highlighted Seskoad’s status as a strategic educational institution producing prominent leaders globally. ‘With the invocation of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, this morning, Monday, 25 May 2026, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, hereby officially open the renovated Seskoad Museum and Library,’ Prabowo stated.

Seskoad has graduated numerous Indonesian leaders, including former Presidents Soeharto (2nd), Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (6th), and current President Prabowo Subianto. Three other alumni served as Vice Presidents: Umar Wirahadikusumah (4th), Sudharmono (5th), and Try Sutrisno (6th).

Internationally, Seskoad trained four Singapore Army Chiefs: Neo Kian Hong (2007-2010), Melvyn Ong Su Kiat (2015-2018), David Neo Chin Wee (2022-2025), and current Chief Cai Dexian.

Colonel Arhanud Desi Ariyanto, Head of Seskoad’s Combat and Doctrine Department, explained the museum’s purpose: ‘The museum was established to delve into all historical records, as military personnel must be knowledgeable about war history, military history, and leadership within those conflicts.’

The museum showcases alumni histories and contributions to inspire training officers. Seskoad also maintains a library with 42,000 books, serving around 500 students annually, including 30 international cadets.
