Prabowo Inaugurates Nanik S Deyang as Head of National Nutrition Agency!

President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Nanik S Deyang as the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, on Monday, 8 June 2026. Nanik takes over the position of Head of BGN, succeeding Dadan Hindayana. In addition to Nanik, President Prabowo also inaugurated Agustina Arumsari and Trenggono as Deputy Heads of the BGN.

The inauguration was conducted based on Presidential Decree (Keppres) 18/M of 2026, regarding the dismissal and appointment of the Head and Deputy Heads of the BGN, as well as the dismissal of the Deputy Head of the BPKP. The ceremony commenced with the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, followed by the reading of the Presidential Decree concerning the appointment of the officials.

Following the reading, President Prabowo led the oath of office, which was followed by Nanik S Deyang, Agustina Arumsari, and Trenggono. During the ceremony, President Prabowo emphasised the importance of loyalty to the 1945 Constitution and the commitment to upholding official ethics and responsibility in service to the nation.

Previously, it was reported that President Prabowo Subianto officially removed Dadan Hindayana from his position as Head of the National Nutrition Agency. This announcement was made directly by the Minister of State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 2 June 2026. The news drew significant public attention as Dadan was known for leading the preparations for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme, one of the flagship initiatives of the Prabowo-Gibran administration. Along with the change in leadership, the government expressed appreciation for the performance of the officials who had established the foundation of the agency.
