Prabowo Inaugurates Nanik Deyang and Said Iqbal
President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated four government officials at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday, 8 June 2026. The appointees include three leaders of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and one special advisor to the President.
The BGN officials sworn in are Nanik Sudaryati Deyang as Head of the BGN, alongside Trenggono and Agustina Arumsari as Deputy Heads. These individuals officially replace the previous leaders of the free nutritious meal programme (MBG) who were dismissed following involvement in alleged corruption cases. Nanik, who previously served as Deputy Head of the BGN, replaces Dadan Hindayana, while Trenggono and Agustina replace Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung. The former officials are currently suspects in corruption investigations and are being detained by the Attorney General’s Office.
In addition to the BGN leadership, Prabowo appointed the President of the Labour Party, Said Iqbal, as Special Advisor to the President for Labour and Worker Welfare. Said is also widely known as the President of the Indonesian Confederation of Trade Unions (KSPI).
The swearing-in ceremony was led by President Prabowo. The appointments were made based on Presidential Decree Number 18/M of 2026 for the BGN leadership and Presidential Decree Number 58/P of 2026 for Said Iqbal. The ceremony was witnessed by several high-ranking officials, including Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor, and the Head of the Poverty Alleviation Acceleration Agency Budiman Sudjatmiko. Also in attendance were the Deputy Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly Ahmad Muzani, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin.
