Prabowo Inaugurates Groundbreaking for 13 Downstreaming Projects Worth Rp 116 Trillion
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has inaugurated the groundbreaking or laying of the first stone for 13 downstreaming projects in the second phase across various regions of Indonesia.
The 13 downstreaming projects are in sectors ranging from energy to agriculture. The groundbreaking inauguration was carried out by Prabowo in Cilacap, Central Java, on Wednesday (29/4/2026).
“With the grace of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, on this afternoon of Wednesday, 29 April 2026, I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, with great pride launch the groundbreaking for downstreaming phase two, encompassing 13 strategic downstreaming projects,” said Prabowo during the inauguration.
“The groundbreaking for downstreaming phase two, which includes 13 strategic downstreaming projects worth approximately Rp 116 trillion, covers 5 projects in the energy sector, 5 projects in the mineral sector, and 3 projects in the agriculture sector,” stated Prabowo.
He also emphasised that downstreaming is the path to the resurgence of the Indonesian nation.
According to him, this year the government will continue to increase the number of downstreaming projects.
“This year we will also add downstreaming, perhaps 6 more projects, and we will continue to add them. There might be a fourth, fifth, sixth phase, insha Allah this year as well,” he said.
