Prabowo inaugurates EV factory, Magelang workers hope for economic impact

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto inaugurated the electric vehicle assembly plant of PT VKTR Sakti Industries in Magelang, Central Java, which is hoped by workers to drive the local economy. “I feel grateful; there’s a commercial vehicle factory in my birthplace,” said Ahmad Aji Rifai, a worker in the Assembly Manufacture Department of PT VKTR Sakti Industries, quoted from the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat in Jakarta on Thursday. Aji stated that the presence of the factory impacts economic activities in the surrounding area where he lives. “Alhamdulillah, it helps the economy a little,” he said. Aji mentioned that he has been working in the production section for about one and a half years, with duties involving technical problem analysis and preparation of production equipment. “Because the impact will come back to us too, it’s reciprocal. The benefit is definitely environmentally friendly. Alhamdulillah,” he added. Aji also expressed hope that the inauguration of the factory by the President would impact the welfare of the surrounding community and support the sustainability of industrial activities in the region.
