Prabowo in Kebumen: Harvesting Prawns, Showcasing Achievements, and Addressing Leakages
JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto conducted an official visit to Kebumen, Central Java, on Saturday (23 May 2026).
The Head of State’s presence in one of Central Java’s regencies was to attend the main harvest of prawns at a Region-Based Prawn Aquaculture Farm.
He arrived at the location around 11:00 a.m. West Indonesian Time, dressed in a cream-coloured safari shirt and dark blue cap.
Several ministers accompanied him, including State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan, and Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin.
From several programmes undertaken, there have been achievements and objectives realised.
The launch of these programmes was undertaken due to the numerous leakages that have occurred.
The Head of State acknowledged that Indonesia is an extremely resource-rich nation, yet its natural resources are being smuggled abroad, eroding foreign exchange revenue.
He pledged to halt these leakages.
His objective is to ensure that every natural resource wealth is felt by all Indonesian people.
On the other hand, Indonesia must possess the strength to safeguard Indonesia’s natural wealth.
“We must have strength, that is why we build up our defence capabilities to protect our wealth,” he said.
